Two rooms comprise our Infant Program. These rooms provide space for a total of
18 babies, 9 in each room. Infants can be enrolled in the Infant I room at age of
six weeks. There are three primary caregivers in the room, for an adult-to-infant ratio of 1:3.
Infant II has 9 babies and 3 caregivers. Infants are transitioned into this room from Infant I once they begin crawling. Infants can remain in Infant II until 18 months. Babies receive ample amounts of love, nurturing, and stimulation. Two classrooms comprise our Toddler Program. The younger children (age 12 months to 30 months) are in Toddler I. There are 12 children enrolled in this classroom, supervised by three full-time staff members (for a 1:4 ratio). In addition to love, nurturing, and stimulation, the staff works hard at providing a language rich environment. Usually, children will transition into Toddler II classroom sometime after their second birthday. This room is located on the opposite end of the building (the most recent addition to the building). Most staff call this the Two's Room. There are 15 children enrolled in this room, with three full-time staff. Staff focus on providing a warm, safe and welcoming environment as these children take their first baby sets toward independence. Group time is introduced at this age, as well as toilet training. |
